Women’s History Month

On Thursday, March 10, the American Center hosted a special Women’s Exhibition and Products Market as part of our month-long celebration of International Women’s Day and Women’s Month. The exhibition was held in the Main Auditorium Room at the American Center, in Geza Banda, and was attended by more than 175 visitors, including students, business owners and civic leaders. The market offered the exhibitors an opportunity to showcase their talents and to sell their products, while it offered the visitors a chance to be learned about and be inspired by local women working in business and the arts. The women, who exhibited their arts and products included local painters, jewelry makers, cookie bakers, hair stylist/wig makers, clothing designers and other handicraft artists. The exhibition was one of the largest events hosted at the American Center’s new location and we look forward to hosting similar exhibitions and fairs in the future as part of our goal of supporting the development of local women leaders and entrepreneurs.
